As Volcafe continues to invest in the markets, capabilities and relationships that matter most to customers, the company is strengthening its leadership team with two strategic appointments that support its long-term growth ambitions across both origin and destination markets.
Olaf Syrdahl will join Volcafe as Head of Mainstream Trading and Operations, North America, while Alexandre Ferraz has been appointed Commercial Director – Arabica, Brazil.
These appointments reflect Volcafe's commitment to investing in the people, expertise and leadership needed to strengthen its global platform and create long-term value for customers and supply chain partners.

Olaf Syrdahl joins Volcafe as Head of Mainstream Trading and Operations, North America
Olaf Syrdahl will join Volcafe on 17 August 2026 as Head of Mainstream Trading and Operations, North America.
With more than two decades of experience spanning North America, Europe and Latin America, Olaf brings deep expertise in coffee trading and business leadership as well as extensive knowledge of the Brazilian coffee sector and its role in global coffee markets. He joins Volcafe from Rothfos (NKG Group), where he most recently served as Managing Director, following several senior leadership and commercial roles across trading, operations and business management.
Throughout his career, Olaf has led trading teams, implemented commercial growth strategies, strengthened risk management frameworks, built strong customer relationships and driven performance across global markets. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Green Coffee Association and on the Board of the National Coffee Association.
In his new role, Olaf will help further strengthen Volcafe's customer offering, commercial capabilities and operational excellence across North America

Alexandre Ferraz will join Volcafe as Commercial Director – Arabica.
Brazil remains central to Volcafe's long-term growth strategy and one of the world's most important coffee origins. As the company continues to expand its presence in the country, including through the construction of its new processing facility in Três Corações, Alexandre's appointment marks another important step in strengthening Volcafe's capabilities and market position.
Alexandre brings more than 20 years of experience across the coffee industry, with expertise spanning trading, origination, risk management and customer development. Most recently, he served as EMEA Lead – Brazil Arabica Naturals & German Commercial Manager at Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), following a long career with Neumann Kaffee Gruppe, where he held senior trading and quality leadership roles in Brazil.
His deep knowledge of the Brazilian coffee market, strong industry relationships and proven track record of growing customer portfolios and market share will support the continued development of Volcafe's Brazilian business and the value it delivers to customers around the world
