The event also brings the Volcafe team in Honduras from around the country together.

Volcafe in Honduras recognised outstanding coffee producers in Comayagua, highlighting the quality, commitment and collaboration that underpin another harvest season.

For the 11th consecutive year, the Volcafe team in Honduras celebrated Café Gourmet, an event dedicated to recognising and rewarding the coffee farmers who achieved outstanding quality scores in their coffee production.

Held in Comayagua, this year's event brought together producers, partners and team members to celebrate the achievements of the season and the continued commitment to coffee quality. More than an awards ceremony, Café Gourmet highlights the dedication and hard work behind every harvest and recognises the producers who consistently deliver high-quality coffee.

A key moment of the event was the signing of annual farmer agreements for the upcoming harvest. As part of the annual planning process, these agreements reflect the ongoing collaboration between producers and the Volcafe team in Honduras as they prepare for the season ahead.

Producer groups were recognised across several categories, including:

  • Highest delivered volume
  • Best organised group
  • Most hardworking group
  • Greatest participation of women
  • Best social and environmental practices
  • Best Fertiliser Use Practices

Traditional celebration

The event also featured participation from our fertilizer and agricultural input partners, who hosted interactive stations where farmers could learn about solutions and best practices to optimize input use, improve productivity, and support sustainable farming practices. Alongside the business activities, attendees enjoyed traditional marimba music and folkloric dance performances, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Honduras and helping create a memorable occasion for everyone involved.

As the industry looks ahead to a new harvest, Café Gourmet continues to provide an opportunity to recognise achievement, strengthen relationships and celebrate the shared commitment that contributes to the production of high-quality coffee. After 11 consecutive years, the event remains an important tradition that brings together producers, partners and the Volcafe team in Honduras around a common focus on quality and collaboration.
